Zimbabwe invite 28 players ahead of Super Eagles clash – Zimbabwe have called up 28 players ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers this November. The Zimbabwe Football Association unveiled the list on their X handle on Wednesday.

The Warriors will open their 2026 World Cup qualifiers on November 15, 2023 with a trip to Rwanda. Then on November, 19, they will remain in Rwanda to face the Super Eagles in their second Group C game.

Among the players are Udinese defender Jordan Zemura, Marley Tavaziva of Brentford, Leicester City’s Tawanda Maswanhise and Isaac Mabaya of Liverpool.

Also, Marvellous Nakamba of Luton Town, Tinotenda Kadewere of Lyon and Andy Rinomhota of Cardiff City made the cut.

Zimbabwe was disqualified from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The last time Zimbabwe and the Eagles clashed was in an international friendly game in Asaba, Delta State in 2019 which ended goalless
