of Arsenal after 2-1 win at Sevilla – Former Arsenal goal machine, Thierry Henry has a mixed feeling about the team’s performance in their Champions
League clash with Sevilla in Spain.

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has reacted to the Gunners 2-1 win over Sevilla in the Champions League last night.

Mikel Arteta’s side recorded an away win against the highly experienced Spanish side, who were expected to pose a huge challenge to the north Londoners. Henry, a former Gunners goal king, noted that it is always difficult playing away in the Champions League and commended the team for beating a side like Sevilla.

However, he felt Mikel Arteta gave too much to Sevilla to push them back, insisting that goalkeeper David Raya got lucky at some point in the game.

“Away from home, there is something called allaround play and that also comes in when you talk about players,” he said on OBS.

“If you want to compare the game to the Man United game, it is way more difficult to play Sevilla away than Copenhagen at home.

“You have to give Arsenal a lot of credit for winning a game away from home in Europe, especially against Sevilla.

“I thought at the end we invited them a bit too much in our box, allowing them to cross too early.

“The wingers were playing as almost full-backs. We ended up playing a 6-3-1 at the end which is why they were crossing the ball in because no one was going to put pressure on to stop the crosses.

“Raya got lucky, I think we all saw it when he punched the ball and everybody looked at it and the ball went over the crossbar. When you win away from home in Europe, it is always a good result especially against a team like Sevilla.”
