NAFDAC Inform Nigerians Over Contaminated Soft Drink Bottles Check Full Details… – The public has been warned about a tainted batch of unhealthy search Sprite 50cl glass bottles that are being sold in Nigeria by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

It was revealed in a statement from agency management that the product was found after the agency’s post-marketing surveillance section received a customer complaint and looked into it.

According to NAFDAC’s inspection, more than five crates of the allegedly contaminated batch (BN: AZ6 22:32) of 50-cl glass Sprite bottles with the manufacturing date (MFD:180423) were found to be contaminated with particles.

The agency has instructed all zonal directors and state coordinators to conduct surveillance and mop up the
implicated batch of the unwholesome product, the statement says in part. “The affected batch of the unwholesome product has been sampled for laboratory analysis in the NAFDAC laboratory.”
