NYSC Members Will Begin Receiving N10,000 Monthy Stipend Starting January

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), serving in Adamawa State are set to receive an additional monthly stipend of N10,000 starting from January next year. This announcement comes as a result of a recent directive issued by the State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri.

Governor Fintiri revealed this commendable initiative during the swearing-in ceremony of Batch C Stream 2 deployment, where 1,340 corps members were posted to the state. The governor highlighted that this move is part of his administration’s efforts to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the NYSC members.

The extra N10,000 monthly allowance is a welcomed supplement to the existing support provided by the Federal Government through the NYSC scheme.
Additionally, youth corps members in Adamawa State currently benefit from a N20,000 service-long bonus upon successfully completing their service year. business loan.

During the same ceremony, Governor Fintiri demonstrated further support by donating 50 bags of rice, 10 bulls, and
10 jerricans of cooking oil to contribute to the feeding requirements of the orientation camp for the newly deployed corps members.

In his address to the corps members, Governor Fintiri congratulated them on their successful graduation and urged them to view their deployment and orientation as an opportunity to discover their talents. He emphasized the importance of seizing this golden opportunity to the fullest.

The State Commissioner of Youths and Sports, also the State Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board, Wali Yakubu, encouraged corps members to make thoughtful choices from the various skill sets offered by the scheme. He urged them to actively participate in all training sessions and aspire to become job creators in the long run.
